WebAug 24, 2009 · This loud noise came prior to any oil or WD40 being put on blade. It sounds like the blade is rubbing against something but that does not appear to be the case when you inspect it. The noise is definatelly coming from the motor. The saw is about 12 months old. The blade cut smoothly and noise level was low for the first 6 months of use.
