WebSep 23, 2024 · Torn here. The Diamond Throne setting, per se, didn't do a lot for me back in the 3e version. I loved the new races and classes; I really loved what Monte did with the magic system. The Cypher system is okayish, but if I am going for a lighter system I tend to prefer FATE or HeroQuest. So... WebIt's an epic setting that begs to be explored for its mighty factions (Hu-Charad/12-foot-tall giants, lingering dragon tyrant threats) and mechanics like race-based evolutions, many and varied races to choose from and generate drama with, magic rituals, runes, ceremonies, oaths, crystals...
