Fixed vs folding iron sights
WebFixed or flip-up front sight with an optic? Was curious what everyone's opinion on using a fixed or flip-up front sight on an AR-15 with an optic as I'm in the market for iron sights. I will be using the sights on a 16" barrel with an EOtech 553 if that helps any. If you get the ACOG, just like mine, due to it's longer size, it will project much farther back towards the end of the receiver (towards your eye and face) like a normal traditional scope.
